The why
With more than 25 years of policing experience, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply road tragedies affect families and communities.
In early 2025, my own family suffered a heartbreaking loss on the road, and it became the turning point that inspired me to begin this new chapter.
I founded Smart Start Driver Training to help young people develop the skills, awareness, and mindset they need for a lifetime of safe driving. My goal is to teach drivers how to navigate the road with confidence, care, and responsibility.
For me, this work is about far more than passing a test. It’s about building lifelong habits that prevent accidents and protect lives.
I’m a compassionate, patient instructor who connects naturally with young people. I take great pride in guiding learners as they grow into capable, confident, and thoughtful drivers, and in knowing I’ve played a part in keeping them safe on the road.

Each lesson lasts 1.5 hours. This gives sufficient time to establish a student's progress, teach new skills, practice and ensure understanding.
Single lessons (1.5-hours) can be purchased for $150, or
grouped lessons can be purchased for;
3 (1.5-hour) lessons = $400 (save $50) (Payment up front)
5 (1.5-hour) lessons = $680 (save $70) (Payment up front)
